Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and district clientele.</p> <p>MINIMUM EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Five (5) years of work experience in similar field or administrative duties </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise Special needs liaison </li><li>Supervise Special Needs Coordinators </li><li>Any support staff for Special Needs transportation </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Mostly clean and comfortable </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Occasional lifting five (5) to ten (10) pounds </li><li>Frequent sitting </li><li>Occasional bending, squatting, or standing </li></ul> <p>Position Specific Information (if Applicable):</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Conduct quarterly audits of third-party carriers to ensure performance, compliance, and service quality.</p> <p>Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and district regulations related to special education (SPED) transportation.</p> <p>Attend, review and participate in IEP meetings for students as needed</p> <p>Coordinate training for Transportation Educational Assistants (TEAs) and drivers who support SPED students.</p> <p>Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings when applicable to provide transportation insight and support.</p> <p>Complete CDE 40 reporting annually</p> <p>Conduct quarterly audit of Special Needs 3rd Party carriers</p> <p>Partner with district SPED leadership to support compliance, planning, and alignment with student needs.</p> <p>Review ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) and third-party billing for accuracy and compliance.</p> <p>Utilize conflict resolution skills to settle disputes</p> <p>Develop and promote good community, vendor and parent relations</p> <p>Assist in managing behavioral interventions related to student transportation, in collaboration with SPED teams.</p> <p>Work independently with vendors and other departments</p> <p>Oversee procurement and inventory of transportation supplies required for SPED students.</p> <p>Provide support for Union and District meetings upon request</p> <p>Monitor and manage budgets associated with third-party transportation contracts.</p> <p>Provide direct supervision and leadership to staff assigned to the Special Needs Transportation program.</p> <p>Maintain flexibility to work from various locations as needed in response to departmental or operational requirements.</p> <p>Collaborate with third-party transportation providers to foster positive relationships with parents, schools, and students.</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Special Needs Transportation program and the broader department mission.</p> <p>Work Experience:</p> <p>Five (5) years of work experience in similar field or administrative duties | Not Required</p> <p>Certifications:</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Skills:</p> <p>Collaborative team player, Effective oral and written communication skills, Maintains a generally positive attitude., Observes all District policies and procedures, Strong organizational and time management skills, Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Primary Location:</p> <p>Variable Location Employee - Multiple Terminals</p> <p>One Year Only (Yes or No):</p> <p>No</p> <p>Scheduled Hours Per Week:</p> <p>40</p> <p>FTE:</p> <p>1.00</p> <p>Approx Scheduled Days Per Year:</p> <p>260 Work Days</p> <ul> <li>(260 days indicates a year-round position. If applicable, part-time salaries will be prorated according to the assigned FTE. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>This position is eligible for health, vision, dental, health savings account (HSA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), District paid and voluntary additional (supplemental) life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, short and long-term disability, critical illness and accident voluntary insurance, employee assistance program (EAP), voluntary 401(k), 403(b) and 457 retirement plan options.
