From the moment you're hired, to the day you retire, you're a part of our Bassett Mechanical Team.</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>Responsible for mechanical HVAC equipment start-up, checkout and troubleshooting.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform duties associated with mechanical system startup, such as troubleshooting and resolving various operational problems with HVAC mechanical systems. </li><li>Assist in the service of mechanical and control systems that are under Bassett contract. </li><li>Assist in the coordination, install and start-up of mechanical and control systems as requested. </li><li>Assist in design, coordination, wiring and other work as assigned. </li><li>Attend classes and/or apprenticeship classes as required to increase knowledge of HVAC and controls. </li><li>Support and maintain a safe and Lean working environment. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Summary of Skills, Knowledge and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Good electrical knowledge. </li><li>Good organizational skills. </li><li>Journeyman, associate degree or equivalent experience with HVAC systems preferred. </li><li>Ability to travel. </li><li>Good communication skills, both verbal and written. </li><li>Strong computer skills. </li><li>Must be physically able to enter restricted or confined spaces (air handlers, ducts, etc.) for first hand observation or inspection. </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record </li></ul> <p>Direct Reports</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul>
