<p>Lumber Handler I</p> <p>Loudonville, Ohio</p> <p>Background: Northwest Hardwoods is the premier Hardwood Lumber producer serving furniture, cabinets, molding, and millwork segments worldwide. We operate manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Lumber Handler I.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Handling, sorting, and stacking rough-cut lumber by dimension, species, and grade </li><li>Working in open warehouses and keeping work areas safe and clean </li><li>Physical ability to safely transfer lumber from the production line to the lumber cart. </li><li>Banding runners to lumber packs. </li><li>Keeping work areas safe and clean. </li><li>Basic paperwork knowledge </li></ul> <p>Requirements include:</p> <ul> <li>Must be safety conscious, have a positive attitude, and work well in a team environment </li><li>Must have and maintain an excellent attendance record per Policy </li><li>Work at a fast pace and be an oriented team player </li><li>Pre-employment physical and drug screen required </li><li>Candidates must be able to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis </li><li>Always required to wear personal protective equipment </li><li>Participate in job rotation and cross-training in other production-related jobs to build other skills </li><li>An all-around positive work attitude at all times </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High school or GED equivalent, or 18 years of age </li></ul> <p>Work Schedules:</p> <ul> <li>Four 10-hour shifts 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Thursday </li></ul> <p>At Northwest Hardwoods, we offer a formal paid training program and review process.
