<p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Design & Development</p> <ul> <li>Support the Engineering Manager in developing designs for new spiral mill machinery and components. </li><li>Perform feasibility studies, engineering calculations, and cost-performance evaluations. </li></ul> <p>CAD Modeling & Documentation</p> <ul> <li>Create accurate 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings. </li><li>Maintain documentation, design standards, and revision history using PDM tools. </li></ul> <p>Prototyping & Testing</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and R&D teams to build and test prototypes. </li><li>Analyze test data and recommend design improvements for performance and reliability. </li></ul> <p>Engineering Analysis & Troubleshooting</p> <ul> <li>Conduct stress, thermal, and vibration analysis to validate designs. </li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during production, installation, or field operation. </li></ul> <p>Continuous Improvement</p> <ul> <li>Identify opportunities to improve existing designs, reduce costs, and enhance manufacturability. </li><li>Implement approved design and process improvements in collaboration with the Engineering Manager. </li></ul> <p>Collaboration & Communication</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure alignment on technical requirements. </li><li>Provide regular project updates and communicate risks and findings to stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>Compliance & Safety</p> <ul> <li>Ensure all designs meet applicable standards (e.g., ISO, ASME) and internal quality protocols. </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. </li><li>2-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in industrial machinery. </li></ul> <p>Technical Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in 3D CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor). </li><li>Experience with PDM systems (e.g., SolidWorks PDM, Autodesk Vault). </li><li>Familiarity with engineering simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS). </li><li>Knowledge of manufacturing processes including welding, machining, and assembly. </li></ul> <p>Analytical & Problem-Solving</p> <ul> <li>Ability to perform detailed engineering calculations and interpret analytical results. </li><li>Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for mechanical systems. </li></ul> <p>Soft Skills</p> <ul> <li>Effective communication and teamwork abilities across technical and non-technical teams. </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong time-management and organizational skills. </li><li>Self-motivated, adaptable, and open to learning from senior team members. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with spiral or pipe mill equipment and large-scale industrial machinery. </li><li>Familiarity with industry standards and compliance regulations. </li><li>Exposure to project management methodologies and engineering productivity tools. </li><li>Hands-on experience with fabrication and mechanical assembly processes. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment & Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Primarily office-based with periodic visits to manufacturing and testing areas. </li><li>Involves hands-on equipment inspection and collaboration on the shop floor. </li><li>Ability to wear PPE and adhere to all safety guidelines in manufacturing settings. </li></ul>
