<p>Job Opening: Tax Assessor Coordinator</p> <p>Department: Tax Assessment</p> <p>Posting Date: June 1, 2025</p> <p>Salary: $34,452.60 Annually / $18.93 Hourly</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Tax Assessor Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the Tax Assessment Office, assisting the work of property assessors, chief assessor and property tax manager as needed. The role requires strong organizational, and communication skills to effectively assist the team and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.</p> <p>Essential Duties</p> <p>Assist with the collection and analysis of property data to determine accurate valuations and ensure assessments reflect current market conditions.</p> <p>Assist the workflow of property assessments, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.</p> <p>Handle inquiries and complaints from property owners regarding assessments, providing clear and timely responses.</p> <p>Maintain accurate and up-to-date property assessment records and databases.</p> <p>Prepare reports on assessment activities, including statistical data and performance metrics.</p> <p>Provide exceptional customer service to property owners, answering questions and providing assistance regarding assessments and tax implications.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Some college education in Real Estate, Construction, or related fields.</p> <p>Experience as an office assistant or coordinator.</p> <p>Knowledge of property assessment principles, valuation methods, and relevant laws and regulations.</p> <p>Familiarity with local property market trends.</p> <p>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.</p> <p>Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders and present information clearly.</p> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with property assessment software.</p> <p>Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience</p> <p>Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.</p> <p>Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.</p> <p>Computer Skills</p> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit for extended periods, bend at the waist, twist or rotate at the waist, talk, hear, and perform keyboarding tasks. Occasionally, the employee may need to reach or work with arms above shoulder height, kneel, stoop, crouch, squat, crawl, or climb stairs.
