We believe being in the office provides more opportunities to come together and celebrate working with the exceptional people across Appian.</p> <p>To be successful in this role, you will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Design, develop and implement custom software solutions using Appian's platform - including everything from modeling database schema, to building out user flows, to creating UI mockups.</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver projects independently or with a small team depending on the complexity and scope of the project.</p> </li><li> <p>Research, develop, and implement (with your team) new tools to speed up and simplify application development.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all documentation, training, and tooling you develop is maintained, easily accessible and globally reusable.</p> </li><li> <p>Triage and troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support to various business applications.</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field/degree</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of experience with hands-on Appian development</p> </li><li> <p>History of success on cross-functional teams; experience building products using agile methodologies (pair programming, stand-ups, planning sessions, and sprints)</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge on leveraging APIs, database design/data modeling, SQL skills (writing queries, joins, views, etc)</p> </li></ul> <p>Nice to Haves:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of software testing practices; integrations experience using APIs such as REST and SOAP, JDBC connections, and web services; familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Analytics, Machine Learning, Google Cloud </li></ul>
