<p>Overview</p> <p>Under the general direction of the Sr. Research Program Manager or designee, the Doula provides comprehensive in-home/telehealth postpartum doula services and newborn care support to families during the postpartum period. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care that promotes maternal recovery, infant well-being, and healthy family adjustment. The Doula works collaboratively with the care team to ensure consistent service delivery and positive client experiences. The position requires in-person client support throughout Central Massachusetts, including MetroWest, Worcester County, and Greater Boston.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide in-home/telehealth postpartum doula services including maternal recovery support, emotional support, newborn care guidance, and infant feeding support. </li><li>Develop and implement individualized postpartum care plans and provide evidence-based education to families. </li><li>Assist with light household tasks to promote rest and recovery and support healthy family adjustment. </li><li>Communicate regularly with the Lead Doula and care team regarding client progress, needs, or concerns. </li><li>Coordinate referrals and communication with healthcare providers and community resources as directed. </li><li>Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client documentation. </li><li>Adhere to established service delivery models, workflows, and care protocols. </li><li>Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives. </li><li>Identify client concerns, service gaps, or safety risks and communicate promptly to leadership. </li><li>Provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed care to diverse families. </li><li>Comply with organizational policies, quality improvement standards, and safety requirements, and perform other related duties as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED. </li><li>Minimum one (1) year of related experience in postpartum care, maternal health, or a related field. </li><li>Postpartum doula training or certification from a recognized organization (e.g., DONA International, CAPPA) or equivalent training/experience. </li><li>Knowledge of newborn care and basic lactation support principles. </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills. </li><li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). </li><li>Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel up to 30-40 miles one way. </li><li>Ability to work independently within a collaborative team environment. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ul> <li>Associates degree. </li><li>Experience in healthcare, maternal health, or community-based services. </li><li>Experience working with diverse family structures and cultural backgrounds. </li><li>Fluency in multiple languages (e.g., English, Spanish, Portuguese). </li><li>Experience in startup or growth-stage environments. </li></ul>
