Building Automation systems include HVAC Controls, Lighting Controls, Electronic Locking, Keycard Access, and Security Camera Systems.</p> <p>Our mission is to provide cost-effective, reliable, and resilient utility services that empower the University to excel in its academic and research goals.</p> <p>If you are passionate about energy, innovation, and resiliency, join a team that keeps Mizzou running - and thriving.</p> <p>Position: Building Automation Security Systems Supervisor</p> <p>Nature and Level of Work:</p> <p>To support the academic and research missions of the campus, this position supports campus safety by ensuring security camera and key card access systems are installed, maintained, and working properly.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>This position is the primary point of contact and the supervisor of the campus security camera and card access installation and maintenance crew.</p> <ul> <li>Provides oversite, management and tracking of necessary repairs. </li><li>Supervise and assign work to crew members. </li><li>Work with Project Managers on security projects. </li><li>Coordinate cost estimates and cost proposals for security systems. </li><li>Work order creating and tracking. </li><li>Collaboration with Campus IT for networking and software support. </li></ul> <p>Interface with MUPD to address security needs.</p> <ul> <li>Works with Building Coordinators on security training and operational needs. </li><li>Provide supervision of staff, including assigning work, approving time off, tracking labor hours, monitoring staff performance and formal performance appraisals. </li><li>Schedule and plan work to keep up with project schedules and to minimize the impact to campus. </li><li>Review plans and specifications to ensure adherence to campus standards. </li><li>Attend design review and construction coordination meetings as needed. </li><li>Help security technicians troubleshoot more complex problems. </li><li>This position reports to the Manager of Building Automation & TAB. </li></ul> <p>Shift</p> <p>7:00 AM -3:30 PM / M-F</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Five years' previous security systems experience.
