Come join the DMVA team, apply today!</p> <p>DESCRIPTION OF WORK</p> <p>As a Security Officer 1, you will be responsible for the protection of persons and property at the Delaware Valley Veterans' Home. Your duties will include working desk duty, monitoring the camera system, patrolling the grounds by car and foot, and making rounds of the building and grounds. In this position, you will complete assigned tours and check locks, make sure buildings are secure after hours, and document observations and actions by completing daily reports. You can expect to conduct investigations by gathering evidence and interviewing victims, witnesses, and suspects. You will also direct and control traffic and respond promptly to emergency calls. Additionally, you will assist visitors, residents, and staff by answering telephones and giving directions and information, as well as assist nursing in locating and returning missing residents.</p> <p>Interested in learning more? Additional details regarding this position can be found in the position description.</p> <p>Work Schedule and Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Full-time employment </li><li>Work hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with rotating days on duty including holidays and weekends, with a 30-minute lunch. </li><li>Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. </li><li>Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. </li><li>You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
