<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>If you are looking to join Sunnyview as a part time Pharmacy Technician, this could be your opportunity.</p> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <p>Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge</p> <p>Advancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development Work/Life: Positions and shifts to accommodate all schedules</p> <p>Schedule: Looking for someone that is available - every 5th weekend 11am-7pm, and periodic weekday daytime shifts (7-3 or 8-4), to cover days off for our full time staff.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Medication Distribution -</p> <p>Inpatient Pharmacy</p> <p>Understands process and timetable for processing first dose and manual picks via Pyxis Logistics application and through MedCarousel</p> <p>Understands process for filling cart fill patient drawers via Pyxis Logistics and MedCarousel</p> <p>Accurately sends Pharmacy items to appropriate nursing units utilizing Pneumatic Tube system</p> <p>Medication Preparation -</p> <p>Inpatient Pharmacy</p> <p>Cart filling and baggie filling is accurate, selects proper medication, strength, dosage form and quantity</p> <p>Selects proper medication, strength, dosage form, and quantity for batching or packaging & labeling</p> <p>Prepares controlled substance orders for dispensing to Pyxis MedStations and returns controlled substances as needed</p> <p>Inventory -</p> <p>Inpatient Pharmacy</p> <p>Maintain adequate levels of drugs and supplies for assigned area</p> <p>Checks in and puts away drug/IV order. Informs pharmacist/inventory technician of shortages, zeros and discrepancies</p> <p>Returns to stock, discontinued medications, IVs and minibags, IVs and minibags from discharged patients by end of shift</p> <p>Order, Reporting Processing and Record Keeping</p> <p>Inpatient Pharmacy</p> <p>Perform technical functions in Pharmacy IS accurately utilizing established procedures</p> <p>Records and labels related to batching and packaging/labeling are neat, accurate and complete according to procedure</p> <p>Processes daily reports accurately and in a timely manner</p> <p>Completes correct controlled substance paperwork, so as to maintain correct controlled substance inventory</p> <p>What you will need:</p> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Certification from PTCB or NHA preferred</p> <p>Excellent oral and written communication skills</p> <p>Able to perform arithmetic calculations including fractions, decimals, multiplication and division</p> <p>Two years pharmacy and computer experience preferred</p> <p>Relevant health care related experience preferred</p> <p>Pay Range: $19.00 - $23.42</p> <p>Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
