<p>Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Critical Care Float Pool</p> <p>Location: Geneva General Hospital</p> <p>Shift: Days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts)</p> <p>Hours: 72 hours per pay period (with weekend and holiday rotations)</p> <p>About the Role:</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team at Geneva General Hospital. As a member of our Float Pool, you will work across multiple units where assistance is needed, including ICU, Med/Surg (3 North & 2 West), and more. This role offers a dynamic work environment where you can develop a broad range of nursing skills while making a meaningful impact on the care of patients in need.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients across a variety of units, including ICU, Med/Surg, and Emergency Department (ED). </li><li>Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs and create individualized care plans. </li><li>Deliver direct care and evaluate patient progress throughout their treatment episode. </li><li>Provide patient and family education, focusing on self-care, lifestyle changes, and long-term health management. </li><li>Develop specialized skills in cardiac care, telemetry monitoring, and critical care. </li><li>Offer emotional support and promote comfort in a Healing Environment. </li></ul> <p>Units You May Be Assigned To:</p> <ul> <li>2 West: Specializes in cardiac care, telemetry monitoring, and medical/surgical conditions in adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients. </li><li>3 North: Provides care for patients with medical conditions across the adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations. </li><li>ICU: Develop expertise in life support systems, cardiac monitoring, and critical care interventions. </li><li>ED: Apply skills in managing both life-threatening and routine emergency situations. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited School of Registered Nursing. </li><li>Licensure: Current New York State RN License. </li><li>Certifications: </li><li>BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification may be obtained during Clinical Orientation. </li><li>Basic Coronary Care certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire. </li><li>CPI certification must be completed within 1 year of hire. Both CPI and Coronary Care courses are provided through Finger Lakes Health's Educational Department. </li><li>Experience: </li><li>Minimum of 1 year of critical care nursing experience. </li><li>Float pool experience is preferred, but not required. </li></ul> <p>Compensation & Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Hourly Rate Based on Experience: $43.47 - $54.38 (based on experience). </li><li>Additional Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and retirement plans. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <p>At Geneva General Hospital, we pride ourselves on delivering patient-centered care in a collaborative and supportive environment.
