Join us to develop and commercialize technologies that unleash the power of genomics at scale and empower the future of human health.</p> <p>We are looking for a highly motivated Facilities Technician to join our team!</p> <p>The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpentry, basic electricals & plumbing, furniture installation and reconfiguration, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). Performs general cleaning and other tasks as assigned. This is a full-time contracting position with a Monday-Friday schedule, reporting to the Facilities Manager.</p> <p>How You'll Contribute</p> <ul> <li>Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed </li><li>Inspect, repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities including freezers and Milli Q water systems </li><li>Change of all filters, belts & troubleshooting for HVAC units as required </li><li>Prepare conference rooms for meetings; install TV`s, whiteboards, remove or rearrange furniture for events or meetings, as needed </li><li>Remove and properly dispose of all recyclable materials </li><li>Change light bulbs, replace ballasts, interior, and exterior, as needed </li><li>Assist with all office/lab furniture installation, assist with equipment installs/removals </li><li>Perform facilities inspections to identify deficiencies and put in work orders </li><li>Assist in furniture procurement, installation, and reconfiguration </li><li>Basic plumbing, carpet, baseboards, and ceiling tiles installations </li><li>Perform Preventative Maintenance on air compressors and DI water systems </li><li>Oversee daily trash removal, restocking/, sweeping/mopping/vacuuming, cleaning/disinfecting tables and counters, cleaning exterior entryway, cleaning/polishing/floor </li><li>Must be able to work flexible hours </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>High school education or higher </li><li>5-10 years of working experience in facilities maintenance </li><li>Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, installation, HVAC </li><li>Ability to work with minimal supervision </li><li>Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer service oriented </li><li>Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, able to multi-task with can-do attitude </li><li>Ability to push/lift 50 pounds </li><li>Fast pace-paced environment with ability to climb ladders and use power tools </li><li>Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require </li></ul> <p>Ultima Genomics is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
