<p>Overview</p> <p>WuXi AppTec is looking for a highly motivated Research Associate II to join our biophysics team in Natick, MA. This role will provide lab support for both small and large molecule client projects using a range of biophysical techniques.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support biophysical binding assays </li><li>Follow SOP's and perform SPR, TSA, MST, and other biophysical assays as required </li><li>Support instrument maintenance </li><li>Understanding of protein sciences, including binding affinity and kinetics </li><li>Effectively communicate with internal team colleagues and external clients to promote world class services </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Experience / Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, biophysics, chemistry, or a lab-based discipline required. 2+ year of work experience is preferred </li><li>Demonstrated strong understanding of complex scientific procedures and technical proficiency with in vitro based assays </li><li>Outstanding written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to seamlessly fit into a team-oriented environment </li></ul> <p>Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Basic troubleshooting and planning skills </li><li>Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication abilities </li><li>In vitro lab skills (pipetting, measuring, following lab protocols) </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook) </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment </li><li>Must be able to read, write and understand English. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work in an office environment with minimal noise conditions. </li><li>Must be able to work in Lab setting with exposure to biohazards, chemicals </li><li>Must be able to wear appropriate PPE </li><li>Must be able to work in environment with variable noise levels </li><li>Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time </li><li>Ability to Lift 10 lbs. routinely </li><li>Ability to crouch, bend, twist, and reach </li><li>Ability to push/pull 10 lbs. routinely </li><li>Clarity of Vision </li></ul> <p>The anticipated base pay rate for this role is $21.00 - $28.00/hour</p> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer.
