By being attentive to details, trends, and inefficiencies, and communicating with our teams, you'll be key to our success and continued growth as North America's premier grocery wholesaler.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepares and reviews income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting statements and reports. </li><li>Analyzes and collects financial reports and records, making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures. </li><li>Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records. </li><li>Assists in evaluating, recommending, maintaining and monitoring appropriate internal controls. </li><li>Assists in the maintenance of internal control documentation. </li><li>Interacts with internal and external stakeholders in responding to inquires or report requests. </li><li>Conducts special studies and develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures. </li><li>Instructs or assigns work to staff and external vendor partner. </li><li>Coordinates accounting matters with other departments and locations. </li><li>Utilizes computer to input, retrieve or display accounting information. </li><li>Reconciles and reviews assigned accounts. </li><li>Identifies accounting problems, researches possible solutions, and forms conclusions to present to management. </li><li>Corrects problems. </li><li>Prepares complex financial reports in a timely and accurate manner. </li><li>Completes individual analytical projects in a satisfactory manner, given abstract project guidelines. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <p>Education/ Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required, degree in Accounting or Finance preferred </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>5+ years general accounting experience </li></ul> <p>Skills/ Abilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Seeks customer satisfaction and tracks performance against customer requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong advanced understanding of job requirements and responsibilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to solicit support for ideas and provide sound rationale for recommendations.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes assignments independently and handles complex accounting activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to select and develop staff.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to analyze, interpret and report financial data.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written and provide clear and detail information to others.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work effectively and represent the company's interest with both internal and external stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates credibility.</p> </li><li> <p>Shows initiative and commitment.</p> </li><li> <p>Acts resourcefully to ensure that work is completed within specified time and quality parameters.</p> </li><li> <p>Computer skills required, prior experience with Excel and Word applications in a Microsoft Windows environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to work in a team environment to achieve desired results.</p> </li><li> <p>Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>Remote Role:</p> <ul> <li>This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence.
