<p>Overview</p> <p>Starting Pay: $24-27/hr plus incentive pay that averages an additional $8,000-10,000/yearLocation: The ideal candidate would live within 20 miles of Philadelphia, PA</p> <p>The global leader in automotive equipment, Snap-on Equipment, has an immediate opening for an Automotive Equipment Technician. The Automotive Equipment Technician is responsible for overall service call completion within territory. The Automotive Equipment Technician is also responsible for assisting in problem-solving, equipment installation, and repair. Additional responsibilities are below. Serviceable equipment includes:</p> <p>Wheel Aligners</p> <p>Wheel Balancers</p> <p>Tire Changers</p> <p>Alignment Lifts</p> <p>Automotive/ General Purpose Lifts</p> <p>Specialty Lifts</p> <p>Brake Lathes</p> <p>Collision Repair Equipment</p> <p>A/C Units</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to follow Snap-on's Safety priorities and maintain a safe working environment, through awareness and focus </li><li>Ability to further expand the use of Rapid Continuous Improvement in the day to day activates of the job, to help increase organizational capacity. </li><li>Repair, maintain, and install equipment in the assigned territory. Follow clearly established standards for repair protocol, response times prioritization and customer communications. </li><li>Assists Associate FST and FST employees with complex customer problems. </li><li>Responsible for call completion and closure for all customers in the assigned area. </li><li>Manage customer s equipment needs during and after warranty periods. </li><li>Resolves customer problems and ensures customer satisfaction. </li><li>Sells contracts, updates/upgrades, and parts in the assigned territory. </li><li>Calls on the customer prior to the warranty or contract termination date. </li><li>Makes cold calls to pursue the sale of service contracts. </li><li>Schedules regular site visits with customers in order to provide timely, accurate equipment service. </li><li>Assists with the collection of outstanding receivables. </li><li>Administrative duties as required. </li><li>Ability to resolve customer problems and ensure customer satisfaction. </li><li>Assists with the collection of outstanding receivables. </li><li>Administrative duties such as on-site signatures from customers, inventory management, and fleet management. </li><li>Collaboration with Snap-on Equipment Sales Force </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree in a technical field, military training, or equivalent, with 1-5 years of experience. </li><li>Basic knowledge of pneumatics and strong mechanical skills. </li><li>Computer literacy on Microsoft Office products. </li><li>And knowledge of PC hardware repair. </li><li>Basic knowledge of undercar automotive operations. </li><li>Knowledge of all products serviced by Snap-on Inc. as well as knowledge of all internal procedures. </li><li>Ability to lift 45lbs and work in an environment where frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and sitting while driving is required. </li><li>Strong communication skills.
