Starting a repair order with a description of what repairs are needed. Schedule work and handles the customer relations aspects of our operations. The service adviser will sign for parts and deliver them to the parts room in the shop immediately. Update customer on repair status and call or text customer when vehicles are completed. Prioritizes and manages the flow of work through coordination with the lead mechanics to ensure quality and performance and repairs are done in a timely manner to meet the department's needs. The service adviser will be under the direction of the Fleet Manager.</p> <p>Starting Pay: $25.86 per hour; additional pay depending on experience</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>Schedule: Full-time 4x10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday</p> <p>Benefits: Full Benefits; health, dental, and life insurance, paid time off and paid holidays</p> <p>Retirement: Utah Retirement Systems, pension and/or 401(k)</p> <p>Job Posting Close Date: Open until filled</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Welcomes Fleet customers, get information about the problems that customers are having with their vehicles. </li><li>Verifies vehicles information against Fleet software checking Vin's, Make, Model, and Miles. </li><li>Signs for parts deliveries and gives them to the Part's Manager as soon as they come in the door. </li><li>Input manufacturer's safety recalls into the fleet software and coordinate the repairs with the manufacturer to ensure the recalls are completed in a timely matter. </li><li>Schedule service work. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least 2-3 years of experience as a service adviser or similar related experience in a fleet management environment; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>A working knowledge of fleet software. </li><li>Certified ASE Service Writer (within 12-months). </li></ul> <p>Language Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to understand, read, write and speak fluently in the English language. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. </li><li>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. </li><li>Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. </li></ul> <p>Mathematical Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. </li></ul> <p>Reasoning Ability</p> <ul> <li>An ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization may exist. </li><li>Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in writing. </li></ul> <p>Technical Skills</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of the methods and procedures used in the repair and maintenance of all types and sizes of vehicles, construction equipment, engines and components. </li><li>Knowledge of computerized fleet information systems, including inventory operations. </li></ul> <p>Personal/Social Skills</p> <ul> <li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees, superiors, and outside vendors. </li></ul> <p>Safety/Site Duties</p> <ul> <li>Must have knowledge of and observe safety rules, regulations and safe work practices. </li><li>Immediately take appropriate measures to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. </li><li>Reports safety concerns immediately the Fleet Superintendent. </li><li>Attends safety training/meetings as required. </li></ul> <p>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations</p> <ul> <li>You must possess a valid Utah Driver License. </li><li>Must be able to obtain ASE C1 Service Consultant within a year's time. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
