<p>KANSAS CITY MISSOURI SCHOOL DISTRICT</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Job Title: Career Technical Education-Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)</p> <p>Job Title Code: 00870</p> <p>Salary Grade: T01-T06 starting at $48,150</p> <p>Department: Career Technical Education</p> <p>Reports To: School Administrator-CTE</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>PURPOSE OF JOB:</p> <p>Provides instruction in the content area to students in the Career Technical Education Program/</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing: (Responsibilities)</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute lesson plans that lead toward student achievement of competencies in the area of expertise. </li><li>Develop and update, as needed, the curriculum for the content program </li><li>Prepare orders for the purchase of supplies, tools, equipment, and instructional materials necessary to support the learning activities of the program </li><li>Maintain inventory and repair records, and ensure the safe and proper operation and maintenance of tools and equipment </li><li>Maintain an Advisory Board and keep records of meeting notices, meeting agendas, and meeting minutes </li><li>Remain informed of new trends, methods, materials, tools, and equipment in content area </li><li>Actively participate in all professional development activities as required by Kansas City Public Schools </li><li>Integrate Career & Technical Student Organization (C.T.S.O.) leadership activities into the area of content </li><li>Other job related duties as assigned by the building leadership </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None</p> <p>To Be Successful at This Job, You'll Need To: (Qualifications)</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and four thousand (4000) hours of department-approved, closely related occupational experience within the past ten (10) years or </li><li>60 Credit Hours or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university and five thousand (5000) hours of department-approved closely related occupational experience within the past ten (10) years; </li><li>Valid certificates completed as applicable (CPR; culinary, business, safety, etc) </li><li>Hold or be eligible for a Missouri Substitute certification </li><li>Previous experience as a classroom teacher </li></ul> <p>In Order to #LevelUp in This Role, You'll Need: (Preferred Qualifications)</p> <ul> <li>Teaching experience in an urban setting </li><li>Hold or be eligible for a Missouri Career Education Certification in the content area </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
