<p>Position Summary Description</p> <p>Reporting to the Supervisor of Maintenance, the Maintenance Planner is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, planning, and scheduling maintenance activities for Shady Hills Energy Center. This position develops detailed work packages, ensures material and labor readiness, and coordinates with craft supervisors, engineering, and contractors to support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. The Maintenance Planner also maintains preventive maintenance programs, equipment history, and work order documentation within the facility's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Utilize the CMMS to plan, track, and close out maintenance activities, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. </li><li>Develop detailed planning packages and schedules for corrective, preventive, predictive, and outage maintenance. </li><li>Define job scopes, technical steps, clearance requirements, materials, and labor needs for maintenance work. </li><li>Identify special tools, scaffolding, equipment, and support services required for task completion. </li><li>Coordinate with craft supervisors, operations, engineering and support services to align maintenance priorities and minimize equipment downtime. </li><li>Process work orders, review job feedback, and update task plans based on field execution results. </li><li>Issue and track preventive maintenance work orders and ensure timely completion. </li><li>Provide contractor oversight, ensuring work quality, safety compliance, adherence to schedule, and housekeeping requirements. </li><li>Assist with developing and maintaining the long-range maintenance and outage plans and schedules to support O&M and capital projects. </li><li>Act as relief Supervisor of Maintenance when required to support plant operations. </li><li>Research vendor information, drawings, and technical documents to support planning accuracy. </li><li>Prepare purchase requisitions and change requests for tools, parts, and materials. </li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance history and equipment records to support reliability analysis. </li><li>Recommend enhancements to CMMS configuration, forms, templates, procedures, and workflows to strengthen planning effectiveness and efficiency. </li><li>Specify lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements in coordination with Operations and Safety. </li><li>Audit maintenance activities performed by crews and contractors for quality, compliance, and effectiveness. </li><li>Monitor and report key performance indicators related to repair efficiency, maintenance backlog, and equipment reliability. </li><li>Recommend process or technical improvements to enhance plant reliability, availability, and maintainability. </li><li>Partner with Engineering, Support Services, and Operations to evaluate design and procedural changes that affect maintenance performance. Coordinate with the Seminole fleet to share best practices, lessons learned, and maintenance processes, ensuring alignment and consistency across all facilities. </li><li>Support plant safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards. </li><li>Qualify as Auxiliary Operator and one (1) maintenance discipline in accordance with Operator and Maintenance Qualification Programs. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned to support maintenance and plant operations. </li><li>NERC Compliance: Performs NERC Compliance Program roles if/as designated in Seminole's Standard Ownership Matrix (SOM) including ongoing evidence retention in "audit-ready" form. You should also be familiar with Seminole's Enterprise Internal Compliance Program (ENT-GCD-RGC-EP-054) to further your understanding of Seminole's compliance program and your duties and responsibilities in the SOM. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Education Requirements</p> <p>High school diploma plus one (1) year of technical training is required. Five (5) years of experience as a skilled craftsperson in electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control or operations disciplines is required. Associate degree in an engineering or technical field is preferred. Experience with CMMS software, planning/scheduling systems, and power-generation equipment is required.</p> <p>Core Competencies: Adaptable, Collaborative, Conscientious, Critical-Thinking, Outcome-Driven and Professional</p> <p>Technical Competencies/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Maintenance planning and scheduling </li><li>Power plant systems, equipment, and operations </li><li>Budgeting and cost tracking </li><li>Procurement and work order processing </li><li>Risk assessment and outage coordination </li><li>CMMS administration and data integrity </li><li>High Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Project </li></ul> <p>Soft Competencies/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication </li><li>Time management and prioritization </li><li>Integrity and accountability </li><li>Continuous improvement mindset </li><li>Attention to detail and quality control </li><li>Organization and planning </li><li>Problem solving and critical thinking </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Must be capable of inspecting industrial facilities and equipment, which involves climbing stairs, elevated platforms, ladders, construction elevators, heights, and equipment access doors. Must be able to work at heights above 120 feet for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Some travel and work outside of normal business hours. While working in certain areas of the facility there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment. Working in office and facility environment with frequent exposure to heat, noise, heights, confined spaces, high energy, and other aspects of an operating facility during site inspections. Must be able to access all areas of the facility and equipment.
