<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>We are looking to hire an enthusiastic Lead Barista that is excited to join our Homestead Team! The Lead Barista will play a crucial role in ensuring our Milkhouse Coffee shop delivers exceptional coffee and customer service. This position requires a passion for coffee and an ability to lead and manage a team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, creative, and dedicated to creating welcoming atmosphere for team members and guests.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <p>Lead and inspire the barista team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.</p> <p>Train new Baristas on processes and procedures and monitor adherence to guidelines</p> <p>Conduct regular quality checks to ensure the consistency and excellence of coffee products</p> <p>Engage with regular customers and build a loyal customer base.</p> <p>Schedule barista shifts and manage daily staffing needs.</p> <p>Monitor inventory levels, place orders through approved vendors, and manage supplies</p> <p>Oversee the daily operations of the Milkhouse</p> <p>Create menu specials</p> <p>Follow health and safety regulations to promote a clean work environment</p> <p>Provide preventative maintenance for all espresso machines, grinders, and brewing devices</p> <p>Licenses & Certifications:</p> <p>Food Handlers Permit</p> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <p>Proven experience as a barista, with advanced knowledge of coffee preparation techniques</p> <p>Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a coffee shop or similar environment</p> <p>Strong understanding of coffee beans, brewing methods, and latte art</p> <p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</p> <p>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently</p> <p>Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Ability to stand for extended periods of time</p> <p>Ability to lift up to 20 pounds</p> <p>Lodging Dynamics is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
