Want a flexible work environment that values employee development and well-being?</p> <p>UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist to join the MRI Department in Oakland!</p> <p>We are offering a $7,500 sign-on bonus to eligible hires for a 2-year commitment!</p> <p>This position will primarily work daylight and evening shifts, Monday through Friday, with no overnights required! Rotating holiday and weekend coverage availability is required, as well as possible limited on-call hours. No travel required!</p> <p>Join an experienced, team-oriented department with the opportunity to perform a variety of specialty MRI services, including breast cancer scans, biopsies, MS clinic exams, and unique studies with fetal MRI!</p> <p>Picture your impact as part of our Imaging service line at UPMC Magee, and apply today!</p> <p>Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary based on individual experience and education, at manager discretion.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Performs MRI procedures while practicing MR safety guidelines. </li><li>Prior to the start of exam, reads and presents all relevant information to the physician based on protocol and identifies all patients properly by using two identifiers. </li><li>Labels, prepares, and administers contrast. </li><li>Reviews patient history, assesses physician orders, and documents patient history in electronic record, as required. </li><li>Ensures all exams are properly coded and tracked, all patient information is updated and documented, all exams are properly networked, and all charges are adequately entered appropriately. </li><li>Interacts with both patients and coworkers while displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity, and respect. </li><li>Demonstrates the ability to communicate instructions to patients in a clear and concise manner, and the ability to explain procedures to help allay the patients' fears and solicit their cooperation. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program. </li><li>ARRT registry-eligible technologists must obtain ARRT within 6 months of hire date. </li><li>MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired. </li><li>CNMT, ARDMS, and ARMRIT graduates must obtain MR registry within 12 months of hire date. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <ul> <li>ARRT Certificate OR American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC) OR Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) </li><li>CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire. </li><li>Act 34 with renewal </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
