All while understanding that together we are even better.</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>PRN</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day (United States of America)</p> <p>Address:</p> <p>7700 S BROADWAY</p> <p>City:</p> <p>LITTLETON</p> <p>State:</p> <p>Colorado</p> <p>Postal Code:</p> <p>80122</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, team members, and others of diverse backgrounds. </li><li>Moves, positions, and manipulates radiographic equipment to complete requested procedures safely. </li><li>Performs direct patient care duties within the technologist's scope of practice, including monitoring patient condition, transporting patient, and using proper infection control techniques. </li><li>Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks. </li><li>Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledgeable in all aspects of Diagnostic Imaging to include Surgery and Trauma </li><li>Previous Radiologic Technologist experience [Preferred] </li><li>One year post certification experience required to evaluate and/or instruct student radiographers </li><li>Ability to analyze and assess data, techniques, methodology, equipment operation, and quality control to ensure that information is obtained and presented accurately </li><li>Up-to-date knowledge of patient positioning and equipment operations, including x-ray producing equipment, if applicable per facility </li><li>Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals </li><li>Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry </li><li>Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment </li><li>Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English </li><li>Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office </li><li>Must be able to use computer system for data entry and retrieval </li><li>Patient care skills to care for Infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations </li><li>Must be able to independently perform radiographic procedures to departmental standards </li><li>Demonstrates ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively </li><li>Ability to learn and use radiology software packages such as Cerner, Radnet, PACS, etc. </li><li>Maintain responsibility for all required registries and licenses to perform Diagnostic Imaging </li><li>Responsible to maintain all required continuing and annual education </li><li>Knowledge of Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions </li><li>Ability to determine appropriate technical factors </li><li>Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds </li><li>Adult/and child/infant CPR [Required] </li><li>Ability to perform radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail </li><li>Knowledge of communication styles and constant deployment of proper engagement behaviors when encountering patients, staff, and physicians </li><li>This position requires knowledge of the use of computerized and radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image quality </li><li>The ability to communicate and receive instructions, verbally and written and carry them out as directed </li><li>Must be able to operate radiographic equipment and work with electrical and radiant energy </li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of general radiographic procedures </li><li>Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast pace, high patient volume environment </li><li>Strong critical thinking skills </li><li>Must have the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care that addressed the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age appropriate needs to the patient population served within the department </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Associate [Preferred] </li><li>Bachelor's [Preferred] </li><li>High School Grad or Equiv [Required] </li></ul> <p>Field of Study:</p> <ul> <li>N/A </li></ul> <p>Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>1+ year experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Additional Licensure or certification requirements may apply depending on the specific unit or state in which this position is located.
