<p>The Family Welcome Center Manager and Registrar provides specialized assistance and support to all enrollment students and to engage families to be active partners in their students' school and to connect with community resources.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li>Oversees the management of the day-to-day operations of the Family Welcome Center designed to welcome and support all New Bedford families through the registration, screening, and assessment of newly registered students. </li><li>Supervises and evaluates the Family Welcome Center staff including Registration Specialists, Family Welcome Center Nurse(s), Assessment Specialist(s), Screeners, and Education Stability Specialist(s). </li><li>Participates in and oversees the registration of new students; determines eligibility of enrollment; distributes, collects, and reviews completed registration forms including health records to ensure accuracy </li><li>Serves as the McKinney Vento District Liaison which includes managing the MKV grant, leading required training for school staff, and completion of DESE MKV reports. </li><li>Coordinates with external agencies to support highly mobile students (foster care, migrant, military, homeless). </li><li>Oversees the preparation of students' cumulative records and data entry into the Student Information System. </li><li>Oversees the process for record requests and transcripts for newly registered students; evaluates transcripts received from other schools to determine placement; sends records and transcripts to schools. </li><li>Oversees the District Family Support Line which provides assistance to students, parents, and the public. </li><li>Creates monthly enrollment reports and progress on school/class sizes. </li><li>Oversees the scheduling of registration and assessment appointments. </li><li>Collaborates and coordinates with all Departments to support both students and families. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Student Services. </li></ol>
