Provide a limited range of police services.</p> <p>Level of Work:</p> <p>Experienced.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <p>Provides crowd and traffic control at special events; may be required to intervene in situations utilizing force if necessary to make an arrest, to restore order, prevent interference with normal operations or to protect person or property.</p> <p>Percentage Of Time 20 Responsibility / Duty</p> <p>Provides foot and mobile patrols enforcing parking and traffic regulations or serve as the primary communications officer for the shift collecting/documenting information and dispatching officers as required.</p> <p>Percentage Of Time 20 Responsibility / Duty</p> <p>Responds to emergencies and renders assistance as required.</p> <p>Percentage Of Time 20 Responsibility / Duty</p> <p>Investigating crimes, making arrests when necessary, providing reports, preparing documentation for course, and testifying in court.</p> <p>Percentage Of Time 20 Responsibility / Duty</p> <p>Provides a wide range of police services and other tasks as directed by supervisor.</p> <p>Percentage Of Time 20</p> <p>Posting Detail Information</p> <p>Minimum Experience Required</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>One year of law enforcement experience.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:</p> <p>Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience.</p> <p>NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.</p> <p>Possession of a valid Louisiana driver's license.</p> <p>Possession of an active Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification may be required.</p> <p>An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.</p> <p>Minimum Education Required</p> <p>High School diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>Minimum Licenses Required Other Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Applicants must complete the application in its entirety with an electronic signature and date.</p> <p>Resumes will not be accepted as a substitute for the application.</p> <p>If education and employment history are not completed, the application will be disqualified.
