<p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Works under general direction and requires considerable knowledge of teacher education </li><li>Provides instruction in science and individual assistance </li><li>Assesses educational needs of inmates </li><li>Develop lesson plans to address those needs to include individual assignments and training </li><li>Provides instruction and individual assistance </li><li>Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators </li><li>Maintains discipline and/or security </li><li>Counsel's students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems </li><li>Attend meetings as required </li><li>Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment, grades, student progress) </li><li>Inventories and orders supply and materials needed </li><li>Research, selects and recommends new teaching materials </li><li>Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Current Teacher Certificate appropriate for social studies & grade level to be assigned; Teacher 1, 71311, must also have baccalaureate degree or less; Teacher 2, 71312, must also have a baccalaureate degree & 20 additional quarter hrs. but less than master's degree; Teacher 3, 71313, must also have master's degree; Teacher 4, 71314, must also have master's degree & 30 hrs. of post-graduate study.</p> <p>Job Skills: Education, Developing Others, Emotional Intelligence, Cultural Awarenes, Customer Focus</p>
