Hours are typically scheduled during the school day (approximately 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM) and may vary based on student availability and school district needs.</p> <p>Summary</p> <ul> <li>Part-Time This position follows a schedule aligned with the academic calendar, with work hours typically occurring during standard school hours and may vary slightly depending on school district needs and student availability (e.g., 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM). </li><li>Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley is seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-ETS Instructor to empower high school students with disabilities as they prepare for life after graduation. </li><li>The Pre-ETS Instructor is responsible for delivering engaging, age-appropriate instruction to high school students with disabilities, focusing on preparing them for successful transitions from school to employment or post-secondary education. This role involves teaching core Pre-ETS components, including job exploration, workplace readiness, self-advocacy, post-secondary counseling, and work-based learning experiences. </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Deliver Pre-ETS curriculum in school and community settings across the Miami Valley region.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate interactive workshops and activities in schools, community settings, or virtually.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide instruction in the five required Pre-ETS service areas:</p> </li><li> <p>Job Exploration Counseling</p> </li><li> <p>Work-Based Learning Experiences</p> </li><li> <p>Counseling on Post-Secondary Education</p> </li><li> <p>Workplace Readiness Training</p> </li><li> <p>Instruction in Self-Advocacy</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with school personnel, vocational rehabilitation counselors, families, and community partners.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate documentation of student participation, progress, and outcomes in accordance with program and funding requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and community outreach events.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner, attend meetings and trainings as scheduled, and maintain confidentiality of individuals.</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas to meet CARF, Department of Labor and other regulatory standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to the dress code and health and safety polices/procedures of the work site to which you are assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <p>None</p> <p>Education Requirements</p> <p>Minimum of High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).</p> <p>Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with youth with disabilities or in transition services is preferred. </li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule. </li><li>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. </li><li>Proficient in computer software, applications, and programs. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The role also involves frequent sitting for tasks such as lesson planning, documentation, and virtual instruction. Occasionally, the instructor may need to lift or carry instructional materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. </li><li>Travel is required to various school and community locations throughout the Miami Valley region, so the ability to drive is essential. The position may also require occasional bending, reaching, or kneeling when setting up classroom environments or assisting students. </li></ul> <p>Proficiency in using standard office equipment, including computers, projectors, and printers, is also necessary.</p> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
