<p>Position Summary: The Plant Operations Manager will oversee the execution of capital expenditure (CapEx) projects and the daily operations of the WRR plant, with a strong focus on efficiency, reliability, and strict adherence to safety protocols. This role is instrumental in achieving operational objectives while allowing the General Manager to focus on strategic planning, commercial development, and expansion initiatives. The Plant Operations Manager position consolidates the responsibilities of five key roles: RNG Manager, Digester Manager, Construction Manager, Operations Manager, and Maintenance Manager.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li>Operational Oversight </li></ol> <ul> <li>Manage daily plant operations across receiving, digestion, gas upgrading, logistics, and depackaging to ensure safe and efficient performance. </li><li>Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective and preventive measures as needed. </li><li>Optimize processes to meet or exceed production targets while minimizing downtime and waste. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Safety Management </li></ol> <ul> <li>Implement and monitor adherence to safety protocols and procedures. </li><li>Provide regular training and feedback to employees to maintain high safety standards. </li><li>Ensure compliance with Opal's safety values and standards. </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Maintenance Supervision </li></ol> <ul> <li>Oversee maintenance schedules, repairs, and equipment upgrades. </li><li>Implement predictive maintenance programs. </li><li>Deploy and manage a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to maintain accurate records of equipment and hours. </li><li>Develop and execute a spare parts strategy to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency. </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Construction Management </li></ol> <ul> <li>Oversee the execution and delivery of construction-related capital projects, including new infrastructure such as depackaging facilities and digester installations. </li><li>Coordinate construction schedules, contractor activities, and safety compliance. </li></ul> <ol start="5"> <li>Feedstock Coordination </li></ol> <ul> <li>Ensure the execution of the feedstock plan to achieve daily volumes and proper mix. </li><li>Improve the efficiency of the receiving process and maintain high feedstock quality standards. </li></ul> <ol start="6"> <li>Staff Training and Development </li></ol> <ul> <li>Facilitate employee training programs and provide mentorship to enhance skills and efficiency. </li><li>Monitor performance, provide feedback, and track personal objectives among team members. </li></ul> <ol start="7"> <li>Reporting & Communication </li></ol> <ul> <li>Prepare operational reports for review by senior management. </li><li>Lead Daily Ops Meeting </li></ul> <ol start="8"> <li>Financial Oversight (Operational Aspect) </li></ol> <ul> <li>Monitor operational costs and ensure adherence to budgets. </li></ul> <ol start="9"> <li>Continuous Improvement </li></ol> <ul> <li>Identify areas for operational improvement and implement Kaizen events. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Skills:</p> <p>Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Automation).</p> <p>Proven Experience: Minimum of 10 years in project management, including projects with budgets exceeding $1 million.</p> <p>Safety Expertise: Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA standards.</p> <p>Leadership & Communication: Experience leading teams of engineers and technicians.</p> <p>Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of systems and equipment maintenance, particularly related to automation and process control.</p> <p>Operational Excellence Focus: Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.</p> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Sitting: Extended periods at a desk or computer </li><li>Typing: Proficient keyboard use </li><li>Computer Use: Frequent screen time </li><li>Communication: Effective speaking and listening </li><li>Mobility: long walking and standing </li><li>Lifting: Light lifting (up to 10-15 pounds) </li><li>Vision: Adequate for reading documents and screens </li><li>Manual Dexterity: Operation of office equipment </li><li>This position involves both office work and fieldwork, including visits to supplier sites and production facilities. </li></ul> <p>Job Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Location: Expect to work at the plant 5 days per week.</p> <p>Salary: $140K - $180K plus 15% target bonus</p> <p>OPAL Fuels LLC is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, creed, national origin or ancestry, ethnicity, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and gender identity), age, physical or mental disability, citizenship, past, current, or prospective service in the uniformed services, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.</p> <p>Send Resume</p>
