<p>We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial construction, with a proven ability to build, install, and repair a wide range of structures and fixtures. This role demands precision, craftsmanship, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.</p> <p>What You Will Be Doing</p> <ul> <li>Key duties include installing baseboards, crown molding, doors, windows, stair railings, and custom cabinets, as well as performing inspections and repairs on existing woodwork. </li><li>Installs cabinetry and other decorative and functional woodwork. </li><li>Assists with final stages of a construction project to enhance a building's aesthetic appeal. </li><li>Construct, install, and repair structural frameworks including walls, floors, forms, doorframes, windows, and doors. </li><li>Build or assemble custom fixtures such as shelves, furniture, and temporary displays. </li></ul> <p>What We Are Looking For</p> <ul> <li>Ability to provide accurate construction estimates and select cost-effective materials and wood species. </li><li>Provide simple sketches and designs for review and approval. </li><li>Proven track record of completing projects within scope, schedule, and budget. </li><li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor helpers on-site. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to ensure client expectations are clearly understood and met. </li><li>Minimum of 10 years of industry experience, including 5-7 years in a journeyman carpenter role. </li><li>Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes. </li></ul> <p>Our Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Certification in carpentry or related trade preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with modern tools, techniques, and safety standards. </li><li>Compliance with safety requirements and building codes. </li><li>Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one. </li><li>Exemplifies our seven staff values: Honor, Care, Accountability, Grit, Authenticity, Humility, and Fun. </li><li>Leads by example fulfilling the staff expectations of groups, inviting, serving, worship and giving. </li><li>Agree with the *Statement of Faith, submit to the leadership established by the church, and lives out our church Mantras in tangible ways. https://www.southeastchristian.org/who-we-are#mantras </li><li>*Please read our Statement of Faith that is attached below.
