<p>We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to support our development teams in the sourcing of Direct Supply Chain components and parts. This role will mostly support specific parts related to our humanoid robot program as well as other programs intrinsic to the successful running of the organization. This role will report to our Supply Chain Group Manager and in parallel be an active sourcing resource supporting our various Engineering groups within Tesla. This role will specifically focus on structural components using metal transformation process such casting, forging, metal injection molding and machining.</p> <ul> <li>Owner of RFQ's and contract management - ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are negotiated, agreed and appropriately documented before business is initiated </li><li>Engage in negotiation to ensure that Tesla's commodity pricing meets Best-In-Class expectations, while meeting supplier industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality and driving continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad-hoc negotiations </li><li>Address all areas of commodity management including market studies, technology roadmaps, cost modeling, and sourcing strategies </li><li>Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including but not limited to dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews </li><li>Participate in design reviews, change control meetings, and other technical discussions with Engineering partners </li><li>Lead cross-functional teams to manage project timelines including developing and maintaining action trackers, Gantt charts, and other program management tools related to on-time delivery of supplier parts against program timing </li><li>Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering is preferred, or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or evidence of exceptional ability, or equivalent experience </li><li>3+ years experience with metal forming process commodity as casting, metal injection molding and forging, with experience from aerospace and medical industries preferred </li><li>Proficient knowledge of technical requirements and design of the product and be able to influence cross functional partners with detailed analysis that supports optimized pricing and product sourcing decisions </li><li>Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment </li><li>Ability to travel up to 25% of the time </li></ul>
