<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>St. Mary Medical Center is actively seeking a part time, Physical Therapy Aide to work at our Cornerstone Therapy location.</p> <p>St. Mary Physical Therapy at Cornerstone focuses on orthopedic and muscular rehabilitation. Experienced, certified therapists integrate evidence-based treatments, leading-edge technologies, and adaptive techniques to promote recovery from surgery, injury or degenerative disease, such as arthritis. Our off-campus expansion of physical therapies makes access to a quality rehabilitation program more convenient to the community.</p> <p>The PT Aide is a health team member whose primary functions are to perform designated tasks related to the operations of the Therapy Departments and to assist in patient treatment under the direct supervision of a Licensed Therapist/ Therapist Assistant. This person may assist in the treatment of acute care patients, and outpatients of all ages from neonate to geriatrics with a broad spectrum of diagnoses.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Administers basic treatments such as moist heat/cold packs under the direct supervision of a Licensed/Certified Therapist and/or Assistant.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists therapist in patient handling tasks while using safe body mechanics</p> </li><li> <p>Assists patients in their established therapeutic exercise routine under the direct supervision of a Licensed/Certified Therapist and/or Assistant.</p> </li><li> <p>Transports patients to/from therapy sessions.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes daily temperature logs on required equipment and documents accurately.</p> </li><li> <p>Reports any equipment malfunction through proper channels.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs clerical duties as directed.</p> </li><li> <p>Rotates through the various therapy areas and generally anticipates the needs of the therapists as it relates to the patient's care.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates competency via successful completion of annual departmental skills checklist.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs all other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent required</p> <p>2-4 years of experience preferred.</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>Mon/Tues/Thurs: 1:30pm - 6:30pm</p> <p>Wednesday: 9am-2pm</p> <p>Our Commitment</p> <p>Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
