Maintains a safe and clean working environment, adhering to laboratory, hospital, and regulatory policies. Other duties as assigned. Generates and reports results for accurate diagnoses and prognoses influencing patient care. Utilizes critical thinking and independent judgment to correlate and interpret data. Manages laboratory computer systems. Ensures accurate and timely result reporting, including communication and documentation of critical results. Compiles and reviews reports to ensure timely collection, processing, and testing of samples. Resolves unusual test orders by following up with caregivers, reference labs, or pathology. Participates in new associate and student training and orientation. Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots instruments, documenting activities.
