<p>The Systems Administrator II is responsible for the operation and support of enterprise software systems and the related application infrastructure. This individual requires some supervision but will make decisions and work independently. This individual will identify opportunities for improvement and innovation and help to implement approved solutions. The Systems Administrator II ensures that software systems, business data and related procedures, adhere to organizational standards and goals. The Systems Administrator II serves as an escalation point for IT Support, Systems Administrator I and business teams.</p> <ul> <li>Job Duties and Responsibilities: </li></ul> <p>SysAdmin Duties (35%)</p> <ul> <li>Administers corporate software systems and the related infrastructure </li><li>Monitors corporate software systems and the related infrastructure </li><li>Improves corporate software systems and the related infrastructure </li></ul> <p>SysAdmin II Duties (25%)</p> <ul> <li>Takes ownership of system issues, support requests, projects, and improvement tasks with some supervision </li><li>Takes ownership of the following with minimal supervision: </li><li>System issues </li><li>Support requests </li><li>Projects </li><li>Improvement tasks </li></ul> <p>Documentation (15%)</p> <ul> <li>Creates and maintains systems documentation </li></ul> <p>SysAdmin II Tasks (25%)</p> <p>Identifies software system improvement opportunities and implements approved solutions</p> <p>Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required </li><li>3 - 4 years related work experience </li><li>Required: Experience administering all modern versions of Microsoft Server and enterprise-grade Linux with some supervision </li><li>Required: Experience administering all modern versions of IIS, web servers, and Windows services. Experience with Apache, in addition, is a plus </li><li>Required: Experience administering servers in a Cloud and VM environment </li><li>Required: Experience with system monitoring and troubleshooting resources </li><li>Required: Experience with file system security permissions </li><li>Required: Working knowledge of enterprise networking (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, DMZ, Active Directory, SSL/TLS) </li><li>Required: Experience validating, writing, and executing intermediate Microsoft SQL Server queries with DBA assistance </li><li>Required: Experience reading and writing basic code (e.g., javascript, c#, powershell) </li></ul> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
