Perform rubber gloving at all voltages up to and including 34.5 kV. This position will normally be assigned to work under the general supervision of a Lead Lineworker. The Lineworker First Class may be assigned job responsibilities by the Line Supervisor or their designee and perform these assigned jobs independently or with other Lineworkers.</p> <p>Principal Accountabilities:</p> <p>% of Time</p> <p>End Results</p> <p>45%</p> <p>Perform duties described under Lineworker Apprentice, Third and Second and Class position descriptions.</p> <p>20%</p> <p>Teach methods and procedures involved in all phases of linework and substations to those assigned who are in Lineworker training positions.</p> <p>20%</p> <p>Investigate electric service trouble calls and make necessary corrective repairs to restore proper electric service.</p> <p>10%</p> <p>Maintain time slips and inventory records for which the overall responsibility of the job and personnel required has been assigned.</p> <p>5%</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Lineworker, Line Supervisor, and Management.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Be available for and respond to outages, trouble calls, system emergencies during normal and overtime working hours. </li><li>Reside within a geographical area defined as being 18 mile radius or 30 minutes travel time from the applicable UES service building in any direction, within one year of employment. </li><li>Perform Live line rubber gloving on all voltages, up to and including 34.5Kv </li><li>Provide line department standby on a rotating scheduled basis. </li><li>Possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license to operate commercial registered vehicles (CDL Class A), based on requirements of the State of New Hampshire and/or the State where the employee resides. </li><li>This is a position of a fully qualified Lineworker who has developed the understanding of and is able to proficiently perform all phases of sub-transmission and distribution linework and substation work required by the Company in a manner which conforms to the Company's Construction Standards and Safety Procedures. </li><li>High School graduate or equivalent. </li><li>Minimum of two years' experience as a Lineworker II. </li><li>Fully qualified Lineworker, able to perform all phases of line work required of a Lineworker III and Lineworker II. </li><li>Requires CDL and Driver Qualification File </li><li>Will be drug tested under the FMCSA drug pool </li></ul> <p>THIS NOTICE IS POSTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH OUR AGREEMENT WITH LOCAL UNION #1837, UNIT #1, INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, DATED June 1, 2023.</p> <p>HOURS: For 1st Class: The normal working hours for this position are in accordance with Article 3, Section 3.2 (B). Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or Monday through Thursday 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (Night Shift) 1st Class Utility Lineworkers rotate every two weeks or equally between these work periods.</p> <p>WAGE: Ultimate rate - <em>$57.42 per hour, for a 40 hour week. Overtime rates in accordance with I.B.E.W. Agreement, Local #1837. </em>Starting wage will be in accordance with Article 3.1, Sections A - C.</p> <p>Unitil is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
