<p>Position Title: FOH Shift Leader & Events Coordinator</p> <p>Reports To: Director of Operations</p> <p>Location: Chick-fil-A Massillon</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The FOH Shift Leader & Events Coordinator is a dual-role position responsible for leading front-of-house (FOH) operations during assigned shifts while also planning, coordinating, and executing events both in-restaurant and off-site. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail to ensure smooth FOH operations and successful events that enhance the restaurant's brand and guest experience.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>FOH Shift Leader Duties (50%):</p> <ul> <li>Daily FOH Operations Management: </li><li>Ensure smooth daily operations of all FOH activities during your assigned daypart. </li><li>Maintain the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations. </li><li>Guest Experience & Issue Resolution: </li><li>Ensure all employees are utilizing Chick-fil-A hospitality principles with every guest interaction. </li><li>Monitor and meet or exceed all established FOH metrics, including speed of service, food quality, attentive/courteous service, guest experience, and cleanliness. </li><li>Checklists & Facility Maintenance: </li><li>Complete all applicable checklists (opening, pre-close, transition, rotations, etc.). </li><li>Oversee daily deep clean checklists and ensure high-quality maintenance and cleanliness of facilities and equipment. </li><li>Team Coordination & Communication: </li><li>Regularly coordinate with the Director team regarding monthly goals and personnel actions </li><li>Provide continuous coaching and training to all FOH team members </li></ul> <p>Event Planning & Execution (50%):</p> <ul> <li>Event Planning: </li><li>Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events, including in-restaurant promotions, private dining experiences, and off-site catering events. </li><li>Collaborate with the marketing team to develop event themes, menus, and promotional materials. </li><li>Manage event budgets, timelines, and logistics to ensure successful execution. </li><li>Vendor & Partner Coordination: </li><li>Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and external partners to secure necessary resources for events (e.g., equipment, decorations, entertainment). </li><li>Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external stakeholders. </li><li>On-Site Event Management: </li><li>Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all details are handled smoothly and according to plan. </li><li>Coordinate internally (Director Team and BOH) to ensure seamless food and beverage service during events. </li><li>Post-Event Evaluation: </li><li>Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement. </li><li>Track event metrics (e.g., attendance, revenue, customer satisfaction) and report findings to management. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Communication, Business, or related field preferred.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in restaurant operations, specifically in a FOH leadership role. Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred. </li><li>Proven track record of successfully planning and executing events. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. </li><li>Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including health and safety regulations. </li></ul> <p>Attributes:</p> <ul> <li>Creative thinker with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. </li><li>Team player with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. </li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Additional Qualifications and Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Smile </li><li>Create and Maintain Eye Contact </li><li>Speak Enthusiastically </li><li>Make Emotional Connections with Guests </li><li>Reliable transportation </li><li>Strong people skills with a desire to serve Team Members </li><li>Strong commitment to superior customer service </li><li>Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility </li></ul> <p>Most Chick-fil-A Restaurants are operated by independent franchised business owners who make all their own employment decisions and are responsible for their own content and policies.</p> <p>Working at a Chick-fil-A restaurant is more than a job - it's an opportunity for teamwork and leadership development in a positive, people-focused environment.
