<p>Description</p> <p>Position at Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc.</p> <p>Although located at the Bowling Green Corporate Office, this is a Hybrid position, which combines both in office and off-site work. Associates are required to work at least three days in the office each week, but also have the flexibility to work off-site.</p> <p>BASIC PURPOSE:</p> <p>The purpose of this position is to maintain and implement cost accounting methods and related general ledger activities across products and divisions.</p> <p>BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Establish and maintain standard costs. </li><li>Daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance of cost system. </li><li>Determine, validate and explain variance calculations. (PPV, OMV & Mfg) </li><li>Monitor inventory movements and provide guidance to plants in their controlling of inventories. </li><li>Physical inventory planning, auditing and valuation. </li><li>Participate in monthly closing activities. </li><li>Reconciliation of accounts. </li><li>Compile inventory rollforward and revaluation data (semi-annually) and LCM. </li><li>Manage senior cost accountant at off-site facility. </li><li>Projects and improvement activities as required. </li></ul> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree with 8 - 10 years of progressive experience including 2 - 4 years as Superintendent or similar supervisory capacity. </li><li>Cost Accounting experience. </li><li>Excellent working knowledge of Excel. </li><li>Must understand and be able to implement costing concepts. </li></ul> <p>About Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc.</p> <p>Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems, Inc.
