This individual will work as part of a multidisciplined design engineering team during the development phases of an emerging program. The individual will be responsible for developing new FPGA designs with an emphasis on simulation and verification, and the transition of those designs into ASICs. The individual should be fluent in the VHDL code techniques required to implement decoders, encoders, shift registers, counters, and state machines to control serial bus data transfers, decode & execute commands and generate simple parallel data stream outputs. Our Design Engineering team is focused on developing and improving new product designs to support advanced emerging programs for military customers.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Greater than 10 years of experience in Mixed Signal electronics design </li><li>Highly experienced VHDL designer with ASIC experience </li><li>Design of decoders, registers, counters, and state machines to decode serial commands, control serial data transfers and generate variable pulse widths. </li><li>Strong simulation and verification skills with Test Bench experience </li><li>Xilinx experience in ISE and Vivado preferred. </li><li>Demonstrated software documentation discipline </li><li>Experience in working within a formal software development environment. </li><li>Support programming and debug of FPGA </li><li>Guide and support conversion of VHDL code into an ASIC. </li><li>Education Requirements: BS degree in electrical engineering or computer programming, MS a plus. </li><li>Active security clearance is preferred, eligibility for clearance is required </li></ul> <p>How We Care</p> <p>At Textron Systems, our talented people make us successful.
