<p>Primary Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support development of full-stack software solutions, under general guidance, for laser & optical subsystem products. </li><li>Support the computer hardware infrastructure for the business unit software engineering & manufacturing activities. </li><li>Continuous improvements of data applications and test & measurement (T&M) hardware to support large-scale manufacturing in a dynamically evolving technological field. </li><li>Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enable collaborative software development and independent operations of non-software professionals, such engineers and scientists. </li><li>Support other software and data projects, such as manufacturing business systems, enterprise resource planning tools, and tool automation. </li><li>Develop new applications in PowerBI </li></ul> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, software engineering, physics, materials science, mathematics, or similar fields. </li><li>Hands-on experience in test & measurement hardware and software maintenance and/or development. </li><li>2 years experience in managing information systems. </li><li>Candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply, who will be considered for a commensurate position. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Basic knowledge of scripting and/or programming languages. For example: Windows Powershell, Bash, Python, Java, C++, C#.... </li><li>Experience with Power BI </li><li>Experience with database management </li><li>Best practices in collaborative software development: version control, flowcharts, documentation, and clear code comments. </li><li>Sound understanding of fundamental information systems technologies. </li><li>Ability to learn new concepts and skills fast. </li><li>Technical writing skills, such as maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs). </li><li>Knowledge in manufacturing, business processes, and related fields would be a plus. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to align technical goals to business objectives. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Primarily office work on a computer. Occasional light tasks on the factory floor are possible. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to sustainably work on a computer full-time. </li><li>Ability to perform light physical tasks on factory equipment </li></ul> <p>Safety Requirements</p> <p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
