<p>Northridge Local Schools is seeking a Sixth Science Teacher for our Middle School for the 25/26 School Year.</p> <p>Location: Northridge Middle School</p> <p>Grade Level: Science - Sixth Grade</p> <p>Licensure & Certification Requirements (Ohio):</p> <ul> <li>Valid Ohio teaching license issued by the Ohio Department of Education. </li><li>Certification in Middle Childhood Education (Grades 4-9) with a concentration in Science, or </li><li>Certification in Adolescent to Young Adult (AYA) Life Sciences or Physical Sciences (Grades 7-12). </li><li>Must meet all ODE licensure requirements, including passing scores on the appropriate Ohio Assessments for Educators (OAE). </li><li>?Candidates must be qualified under ESSA to teach science at the middle school level. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience teaching integrated science or disciplinary science courses at the middle school level. </li><li>Familiarity with Ohio's Learning Standards for Science. </li><li>Ability to engage students in inquiry-based learning and hands-on labs. </li><li>?Strong classroom management and a passion for STEM education. </li></ul> <p>Contract: 185 days</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>For job description, please click this link: Teacher or see attachment.</p> <p>Once you have completed the application, please email cover letter and resume to Sean Smith, Middle School Principal at ssmith@northridgevikings.org</p>
