<p>Martin Marietta is seeking a Day Shift Lead at our Saylorville Sand Plant, which produces high-quality sand, gravel, and aggregate materials used in concrete, asphalt, and other construction applications. In this role, you will support plant leadership by overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, training team members, running equipment as needed, and performing manual tasks to keep operations running smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in working safely, leading by example, and ensuring quality and production goals are met.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform and oversee daily production equipment operations using specialized skills and experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct equipment inspections to identify safety hazards or mechanical issues; complete required documentation.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate daily production reports and communicate effectively with team members and leadership.</p> </li><li> <p>Adjust equipment settings or programming to maximize production efficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide training to new and existing employees to ensure safe and efficient work practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Run equipment and step in to cover operational roles as needed, which may include shoveling, sweeping, lifting, pushing, pulling, and raking.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with coordinating the work of others and act as a resource for less experienced team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain compliance with OSHA and MSHA regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Adapt to evolving job demands and take on additional duties as assigned to support team and plant operations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.</p> </li><li> <p>4+ years of related experience in production, mining, or manufacturing.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting production equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of OSHA and MSHA safety regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated leadership ability with attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Willingness to learn and operate various types of equipment, such as skid steers, backhoes, pavers, and rollers.</p> </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <p>At Martin Marietta, we believe our people are our greatest strength.
