Full Time Shift Day Work Schedule Summary</p> <p>M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm</p> <p>VP Area President Department 01744 - Workplace Services Location Campus City Salt Lake City, UT Type of Recruitment External Posting Pay Rate Range $72,000 - $75,500 annually Close Date 07/31/2025 Priority Review Date (Note - Posting may close at any time) Job Summary</p> <p>Oversees the acquisition, installation, maintenance and proper operation of the University computer based building management system (BMS) controllers, software, and user interface(s). Supervises & supports department operations of the University computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Maintains Facility Inspection records and coordinates Facility Inspection Schedules. Provides status and operation reports for both the CMMS and BMS.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li> <p>Provides guidance and support to Operations team-members in utilizing best practices for the operation of the University's BMS and CMMS software and programming.</p> </li><li> <p>Reviews current status of BMS and CMMS operations to provide guidance or information to Operations team-members in solving problems.</p> </li><li> <p>Schedules and performs routine updates and back-ups of the BMS software and programming.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures BMS user interface stays current with Facility remodels, improvements and projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates with and supervises third party vendors servicing the University's BMS and CMMS.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides initial and continuation training to personnel on systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains and updates CMMS Asset list and associated preventative maintenance procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Reviews BMS and CMMS status reports with Team leadership.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains database and supporting documentation for Annual Facility Inspections.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates Annual Facility Inspection schedule with Department, University, and State of Utah Partners.</p> </li><li> <p>Attends required staff meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Promotes collaborative and innovative work environment while coordinating across reporting structure.</p> </li></ol> <p>This job description is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Five years of progressively more responsible experience in industrial electronic repair and electronic and pneumatic instrumentation or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated oral and written communications skills; previous supervisory experience; demonstrated customer services skills; and oral and written communications skills required.</p> <p>Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.</p> <p>Preferences Type Benefited Staff Special Instructions Summary Additional Information</p> <p>The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS").
