<p>The Braintree Public School District is seeking a Elementary Special Education Teacher with Orton-Gillingham certification</p> <p>The position is for Special Education services and Specialized Reading services. Orton Gillingham or Wilson certification is necessary for the role. A Master's degree from an accredited institution preferred. Experience working with students within the inclusion, small groups, and individual setting, as well as experience evaluating student skills, writing reports to interpret/summarize findings, and experience writing IEPs. Please note this role will have an emphasis on reading services. Special education license and SEI endorsement are required. The role includes: Providing direct and specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student's Individualized Educational Program (IEP) Assessing and monitoring student progress Employing various instructional techniques, methods and principles of learning to enable students to meet their IEP goals Developing and implementing IEP plans for students Coordinating the delivery of special education services for students on caseload Serving as Special Education liaison for the parent Ensuring compliance with IEP timelines, maintaining accurate and complete student records, and preparing progress reports on children and activities Providing instruction with measurable outcomes and challenging tasks Collaborating with the general education teachers to modify and accommodate curriculum, as needed, in accordance with the student's IEP Works with and collaborates with paraprofessionals Other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the district or school</p> <p>Salary: Salary scale can be found in the BEA Collective Bargaining Agreement's recent MOA: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YaoFdRvNjcM4RHv_WvNHRQzHsPOFrhUh/view</p>
