<p>Piper Companies is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support cloud infrastructure initiatives for a leading organization in the technology industry. The Senior DevOps Engineer will manage AWS environments, oversee Kubernetes operations, and support infrastructure automation efforts. The Senior DevOps Engineer is a direct placement with the company and requires you to sit onsite Tuesday - Thursday in Raleigh, NC.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Senior DevOps Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>Manage and optimize AWS environments across a broad AWS service stack. </li><li>Support Kubernetes workloads, specifically EKS in AWS. </li><li>Oversee EC2 configuration, patching, and vulnerability remediation. </li><li>Build and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure-as-Code. </li><li>Administer Linux systems; assist with Windows as needed. </li><li>Manage S3 operations and policies. </li><li>Provide support for Postgres and collaborate with teams leveraging the ELK stack. </li></ul> <p>Requirements of the Senior DevOps Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>6+ years of AWS experience; strong cloud fundamentals required. </li><li>Hands-on Kubernetes/EKS experience. </li><li>Strong EC2 management and vulnerability remediation background. </li><li>Advanced Terraform proficiency. </li><li>Proven experience running AWS environments end-to-end. </li><li>Strong Linux administration; Windows is a plus. </li><li>Experience with S3 operations and Postgres. </li><li>Exposure to the ELK stack. </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the Senior DevOps Engineer:</p> <ul> <li>$125,000 - $140,000 base salary </li><li>Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law. </li></ul> <p>Keywords: AWS, EKS, Kubernetes, EC2, Terraform, DevOps, cloud engineering, Linux administration, S3 storage, Postgres, ELK stack, infrastructure automation, vulnerability remediation, Raleigh DevOps roles</p> <p>This job opens for applications on 2/27/2026.
