<p>Walden Security is currently recruiting experienced a Special Security Officer. SSOs will provide armed security.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following and other duties may be assigned:</p> <p>PAT Test: Ability to pass a Physical Agility Test.</p> <p>Perform roving patrol: Patrol facilities and grounds of the facility in accordance with applicable post orders.</p> <p>Perform stationary post assignments: Stand guard at posts.</p> <p>Enforce law and order: Enforce law while in the performance of assigned duties. This includes (but not limited to) detaining any person attempting to gain unauthorized access to property.</p> <p>Prepare reports and records: Prepare various reports and records regarding issues, such accidents, fire, bomb threats, unusual incidents, or unlawful acts that occurred within the area.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). At least one (1) calendar year of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency (Master-at-Arms, CGPD, Security Forces Specialist, etc.). The experience must have included general arrest authority.</p> <p>Language Skills: Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must possess the ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures.</p> <p>Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have a valid driver's license from state of residency and a safe driving record for the past five years; Must receive clearance from the Department of Justice. Must have completed or graduated from certified Federal, state, county, local or military law enforcement training academy and able to provide certification as proof.</p> <p>Other Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age; Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.</p> <p>Physical Demands: Must meet medical standards as specified by the United States Marshal Service (USMS); The physical demands are based on the contract and must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
