<p>Overview</p> <p>The maintenance workers are responsible for the specified and/or general upkeep of the Harbor Light Complex and its surrounding grounds (i.e. mini-park, parking lot).</p> <p>This position pays $16.00 /hr</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Notify the Facilities Manager and co-workers regarding any delays with work projects. </li><li>Floor maintenance - i.e. sweeping, mopping & buffing floors. </li><li>Flooring - i.e. installation of sub floor, VCT tile and cove base. </li><li>Facility garbage - removal and disposal of all trash. </li><li>Restrooms - cleaning/sanitizing urinals, toilets, sink and mirrors. </li><li>Replacement of light bulbs, lens, switches and wall plate covers. </li><li>Loading and unloading of deliveries and dumpsters. </li><li>Installation / removal of window air conditioning units. </li><li>Cleaning of roof and drains. </li><li>Snow shoveling/plowing, salting of all HLC facility sidewalks, driveways, entrances and parking lot. </li><li>Assist lead maintenance worker and co-workers with various assignments. </li><li>Thoroughly complete and return paperwork in a timely fashion. </li><li>Operate elevator as needed </li><li>Must be able to work overtime in case of an emergency or when deemed necessary. </li><li>Work in a laundry room with temperatures around 90 degrees. Washing, drying folding linen. </li><li>Push cart throughout building collecting and distributing linen mop heads. </li><li>Keep inventory of all housekeeping equipment </li><li>Maintain open lines of communication with all staff members. </li><li>Adhere to all written personnel and program policies of The Salvation Army </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to routinely lift and carry boxes weighing 50 pounds or more. </li><li>Must be able to use stairs, when necessary, for building evacuations, drills or during elevator maintenance. </li><li>Must have a high school diploma or GED </li><li>Must have 3 months of maintenance experience </li></ul> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status</p>
