<p>Day Kimball Medical Group</p> <p>Medical Practice Supervisor</p> <p>General Surgery</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY: The Medical Practice Supervisor is a key team member in a DKMG Physician Practice and Service Line. Under the leadership of a Service Line Manager and/or Director of Operations, the Medical Practice Supervisor will provide onsite day to day operational support in a manner that supports exceptional patient care and promotes the achievement of business objectives. The Medical Practice Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all practice needs are met by collaborating with practice staff and clinicians.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Operations, the Medical Practice Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of all personnel, collaborating with the QI Director for nursing staff. Implementation of strategic methods to improve productivity levels as well as maintain financial health of the practice. In collaboration with the Director of Operations and other DKH resources, will ensure the training of staff, implementation and monitoring of customer service and patient experience improvement methodologies.</p> <p>In collaboration with the Director of Operations will be responsible for the supervision of the business and financial performance of the Practices to ensure attainment of budgetary goals. Responsible for a strong collaborative relationship with the Director of Professional Revenue Cycle. Oversight of the staff performing Charge Entry on all patient visits. Responsible for keeping up to date with the latest medical coding and billing rules and regulations monthly.</p> <p>Under the guidance of the Director of Quality, will supervise and monitor annual Quality Improvement Plan for the Practices. Responsible for ensuring the Practices are in compliance with PCMH and other federal and state regulatory requirements. Responsible for the supervision and evaluation of defined programs, marketing strategies and community education programs in coordination with the Health Systems Public Relations Department. Will demonstrate the ability to utilize industry-accepted performance improvement and quality improvement tools as part of daily process</p> <p>SKILLS & ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates leadership skills </li><li>Highly motivated with the ability to work in and foster a team environment </li><li>Knowledge Electronic Health Record Management </li><li>Skill in dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations </li><li>Ability to lead multiple staff/disciplines; minimum of 5 FTE </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Education: Associates degree in Business Administration, Management, Health Care or related field required; equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be accepted.</p> <p>Experience: Minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience supervising physician practices, including supervising physician productivity performances, setting customer service and quality standards, preparing physician schedules, and developing professional billing and coding workflows and forms required.</p> <p>Proficiency of Microsoft computer software applications required.</p> <p>Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare regulations required.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Day Kimball Healthcare's mission statement.</p> <p>Remains flexible in work schedule in order to provide the most effective and efficient support for the department and hospital mission.</p> <p>Must be able to maintain confidentiality in a professional manner.</p> <p>Maintains and supports patient's rights to care, privacy and respect.</p>
