<p>We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager for the Mobile Gaming vertical to join our growing sales team at Discord. This role is a people leadership position, responsible for leading a team of Account Executives and Account Managers while also driving strategic initiatives and revenue growth within Mobile Gaming vertical.</p> <p>As a Manager of Sales, you will play a critical role in coaching and developing your team, developing and executing sales strategies, managing senior-level client relationships, and working cross-functionally to advocate for Mobile Gaming needs. You will also be active in the market, representing Discord at key industry events and working directly with clients to help them achieve their marketing goals using our ad solutions.</p> <p>This role is ideal for a highly motivated leader with a strong background in digital advertising, media sales, and account strategy who thrives in a fast-paced, zero-to-one environment. This role will report into the Director of Sales, Gaming.</p> <p>What You'll Be Doing</p> <ul> <li>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals (AEs and AMs) to achieve individual and team revenue goals; team size may grow based on business needs. </li><li>Own and drive revenue goals for the Mobile Gaming sales team, ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies. </li><li>Guide and support the team in negotiating and closing high-value deals with strategic accounts </li><li>Assist team in upfronts and Joint Business Planning with strategic accounts </li><li>Support team in identifying new business opportunities while deepening relationships with existing clients and agency partners </li><li>Serve as a thought leader within the Mobile Gaming industry, actively participating in industry events and representing Discord's value proposition </li><li>Work closely with Product, Marketing, RevOps, and other internal teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and market needs </li><li>Partner with the Director of Gaming Sales to refine sales processes, set KPIs, and optimize team performance while establishing a high-performance sales culture </li></ul> <p>What you should have</p> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience in digital advertising, media sales, or brand marketing & 3+ years of leadership experience (team lead, manager, or similar). </li><li>Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and driving successful sales strategies. </li><li>Experience managing and coaching sales teams, with a focus on performance, growth, and culture. </li><li>Deep understanding of advertising and media buying dynamics, particularly within the Mobile Gaming industry. </li><li>Proven ability to build and nurture senior-level client and agency relationships. </li><li>Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance team leadership and individual contributions. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, adapting quickly to new challenges and opportunities. </li></ul> <p>Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties) or Greater Los Angeles Area. Relocation assistance may be available.</p> <p>The US base salary range for this full-time position is $272,000 to $306,000 OTE + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include equity, or benefits.</p>
