<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The program director will be responsible for all aspects of the Certified Medical Assistant program, including but not limited to administration, organization, and supervision of the program both on campus and at clinical sites; continuous quality review, risk management, and improvement of the program; and academic oversight, including curriculum development and outcomes. Additional responsibilities include participating in program admissions and orientation events, as well as representing the CMA program on college-wide committees and teams.</p> <p>Major Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Teach medical assistant education and clinical courses each Fall and Spring semester in the weekend on-campus format. </li><li>Evaluate student didactic performance and providing remediation as needed. </li><li>Actively engage as a core faculty member through student advising and mentoring. </li><li>Contribute to program development through course design, curricular innovation, and support of program initiatives. </li><li>Participate in program assessment and continuous improvement efforts, including evaluation of program effectiveness and compliance with CAAHEP accreditation standards. </li><li>Assist with student recruitment, admissions, and orientation activities. </li><li>Provide service to the program, the College, and the broader community. </li><li>Engage in scholarly and other activities consistent with the expectations of academic faculty in teaching, scholarship, and service as outlined in the faculty handbook </li><li>Cultivate and maintain relationships with counseling agencies, professional associations, and licensure boards. </li><li>Adhere to FERPA guidelines related to confidentiality of student information and records. </li><li>Ensure compliance with College policies, procedures and NYSED regulations and accreditor requirements. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>This job description is not designed to be a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. The Director works closely with a broad range of internal and external constituents to carry out activities and ensure that results are incorporated into college planning and continuous improvement efforts. This position provides leadership for the strategic planning and assessment processes across academic departments and units, and is responsible for ongoing and systemic collection, analysis, sharing, and interpretation of assessment data that influence institutional decision making and policy development. The Director, Institutional Effectiveness works closely with the Director of Institutional research and Data Governance in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on a wide variety of institutional analytics.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Establish and chair an Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Planning Committee (SPIE). </li><li>Design, implement and oversee an institutional assessment calendar for the college. </li><li>Review current assessment practices and processes and make revisions to promote a culture of assessment and ensure an organized approach to ongoing and systemic collection, analysis, sharing, and interpretation of assessment data. </li><li>In consultation with the President, lead the College's strategic planning process. This includes oversight of the institutional effectiveness dashboard, strategic plan and key performance indicators. </li><li>Lead MSCHE re-accreditation process and ongoing MSCHE compliance. </li><li>Works with Associate Vice President of Administrative Operations & Compliance and Associate Dean, Academic Affairs to ensure compliance with regulators required for accreditation. </li><li>Manage the College's continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>Contribute to faculty and employee professional development related to best practices in assessment. </li><li>In consultation with the College Dean, lead all matters related to assessment needs for external accreditation, general education assessment, program outcomes assessment and academic program review, and assessment of student learning and institutional effectiveness. </li><li>Ensure that assessment activities are strategically planned and effectively implemented, and that assessment results are disseminated in as wide a manner as appropriate. </li><li>Establish, grow, and maintain a culture of assessment for institutional effectiveness and continuous quality improvement. </li><li>Adhere to FERPA guidelines related to confidentiality of student information and records. </li><li>Comply with College policies, procedures and NYSED regulations and accreditor requirements (ACOTE, ACEN, CAACREP), JRCert. </li><li>Carry out other duties commensurate with the level of the position. </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>This job description is not designed to be a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
