<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Title: Evaluator (Youth Development)</p> <p>Company: Adult & Child Health</p> <p>Location: Indianapolis/Greenwood</p> <p>Employment Type: Full-Time,</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Evaluator plays a critical role in ensuring individuals of all ages receive the appropriate level of care when seeking behavioral health services. Through comprehensive initial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and collaborative treatment planning, the Evaluator helps guide clients toward the programs and resources best suited to their needs.</p> <p>This position involves conducting detailed assessments, establishing provisional diagnoses, recommending services within our continuum of care, and developing safety plans when necessary. Evaluators may also provide brief therapeutic interventions to support clients during the assessment process. Pending approval, this role may include providing clinical supervision to trainees.</p> <p>The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering high-quality behavioral health services that support client safety, wellbeing, and long-term success.</p> <p>The Evaluator Position Offers…</p> <p>Employee Assistance Program - Free 24/7 access to counseling, legal assistance, and financial consultation for you and your household.</p> <p>Workplace Culture - A supportive environment that centers employee wellbeing and fosters a joyful, inclusive workforce.</p> <p>Additional Perks & Benefits - See the end of this posting for full details.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Conduct comprehensive screenings and initial assessments for individuals seeking services across the lifespan.</p> </li><li> <p>Determine appropriateness and eligibility for services based on clinical findings.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop treatment plans, provisional diagnoses, and referral recommendations aligned with client needs and program capabilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide brief therapy sessions and safety planning when clinically necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhere to operational guidelines, organizational policies, and professional codes of ethics.</p> </li><li> <p>Meet department-specific expectations for direct care, collaboration, and follow-up to reduce cancellations and ensure continuity of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within electronic health record systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare documentation for data collection, reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay informed about organizational programs, admission criteria, and referral processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide or coordinate appropriate follow-up plans for assessed individuals.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in crisis intervention services as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain updated knowledge of community resources to support comprehensive client care.</p> </li><li> <p>Engage in departmental meetings, peer review staffing, and professional development activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Support quality assurance, compliance, and revenue cycle requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Deliver educational material in public settings to promote mental health awareness and community engagement.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with program evaluation, grant applications, and other management-directed needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete required trainings and performance evaluations.</p> </li><li> <p>Report critical incidents and relevant staff responses to appropriate leadership.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform additional duties or special assignments as designated by department leadership.</p> </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic mathematical competency for documentation and reporting tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to apply logic and sound reasoning to carry out instructions and solve clinical and administrative problems.</p> </li><li> <p>Professionalism, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</p> </li></ul> <p>Experience and Education Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field required.</p> </li><li> <p>Active state licensure required (LP, PLP, LPC, PLPC, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, PLMFT, or equivalent based on location).</p> </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Requirements</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>(Pending approval, this role may include providing clinical supervision to trainees.)</p> <p>Employment Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Successful completion of background checks, including criminal history, driving record, abuse/neglect registry, and fingerprinting.</p> </li><li> <p>Completion of New Hire Orientation and all required training at start and annually thereafter.</p> </li><li> <p>Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and active auto insurance.</p> </li><li> <p>Unrestricted licensure for the state and clinical area of practice.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>The physical demands described represent those required to perform essential job functions.
