The Buyer will procure a reliable flow of materials.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable Accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Manages all stages of sourcing projects from the initial plan to completion. </li><li>Administers purchasing functions so that all production materials are delivered after full consideration of price, quality, service and financial stability of the vendor. </li><li>Negotiates the price, quality, delivery, discounts and returns with the suppliers in an approved ethical manner and in compliance with company policy and governmental regulations. </li><li>Administers purchase orders for various metal materials, prioritizes work orders by delivery dates and meets customer delivery requirements. </li><li>Maintains records/files on the supply base and items purchased such as quotes, supplier quality, and supplier performance and item cost. </li><li>Communicates with Quality Assurance to resolves quality concerns between the supplier and customer. Assists with the satisfactory resolution of complaints and material discrepancies.
