<p>Position Summary Description</p> <p>Responsible for meeting plant maintenance performance objectives by organizing, planning, directing and controlling the plant equipment reliability and availability at Shady Hills Energy Center. Collaborates with Operations and all plant departments to meet plant performance expectations.</p> <p>WORK LOCATION: Shady Hills Energy Center in Spring Hill, FL.</p> <p>Qualifications and Education Requirements</p> <p>High School Diploma required. Associate Degree or the equivalent training preferred. Two (2) years additional technical training related to work preferred. Requires a minimum of eight (8) years of directly related and progressively responsible experience of which supervisory experience in a power plant or related industry facility is essential. Combustion turbine-based power generation equipment maintenance experience is preferable.</p> <p>Core Competencies: Adaptable, Collaborative, Conscientious, Critical-Thinking, Outcome-Driven and Professional</p> <p>Technical Competencies/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Safety/Environmental Processes </li><li>Budget Management </li><li>Blueprint drawings and schematics </li><li>Work planning and scheduling </li><li>Start-up maintenance and repair of equipment </li><li>Operating manuals, practices, and procedures </li><li>Knowledge of combined cycle operation repairs and tools </li><li>Root cause analysis in problem solving and troubleshooting technical problems </li><li>Familiarity with OSHA regulations and related industry Best Practices </li><li>Familiarity with Environmental regulations and reporting requirements </li><li>Familiarity with NERC Reliability Standards </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications </li></ul> <p>Soft Competencies/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Effective verbal/nonverbal, listening and written communications </li><li>Effective supervision, performance management and talent development </li><li>Time Management </li><li>Integrity </li><li>Quality Control/Continuous Improvement </li><li>Attention to Detail </li><li>Problem Solving </li><li>Leadership </li><li>Delegation </li></ul> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Maintains corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance and spare parts of applicable equipment and systems. </li><li>Provides a safe and productive work environment for team members congruent with Seminole's desired culture and in full support of Seminole's purpose, core values, core competencies and organizational goals. </li><li>Clearly communicates all maintenance related work to all departments. </li><li>Determines and implements required employee training programs to ensure completion of all requirements. </li><li>Writes maintenance related procedures using technical manuals, drawings, vendor manuals, and any other applicable information. </li><li>Ensures and maintains equipment, tools, instruments, and work areas are clean and in an orderly condition. </li><li>Develops plans for programs for up to one (1) year and plans projects for up to three (3) years. </li><li>Prepares purchase orders for materials, tools, equipment, and spare parts. </li><li>Monitors work to ensure correct procedures are followed. </li><li>Plans and tracks annual capital and expense budgets for the department. </li><li>Works in conjunction with all departments to plan and implement an effective Preventive Maintenance Program. </li><li>Plans work schedules and make assignments for SECI craft and contract employees. </li><li>Provides direct supervision and assistance during major work projects and outages. </li><li>Review schedules, test reports, operation reports, equipment specifications, parts, and material inventories. </li><li>Determines work complexity and assigns personnel accordingly. </li><li>Develops techniques for work method simplification, improvement in working conditions, & reduction in costs. </li><li>Establishes and maintains records, schedules, and charts for proper and timely maintenance and repair of equipment. </li><li>Directs work under emergency situations. </li><li>Exchanges information with all departments and contractors on relevant equipment and systems. </li><li>Coordinates and seeks information regarding operation, maintenance, and repair of new or existing equipment with manufacturing representatives. </li><li>Takes a proactive approach regarding personal safety, safety of others and environmental rules and regulations governing the operation of the plant and complies with all OSHA and SECI safety rules. Completes all necessary online or classroom safety courses as directed. Participates in safety briefings and meetings and immediately report any, and all, environmental reportable incidents. </li><li>Performs all duties as applicable to the position or as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Must be able to climb stairs, ladders and scaffolds. Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Required to work in all areas of the plant site, both indoors and outdoors. Work in confined spaces and at heights greater than 200 ft. required. Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.</p> <p>Working Conditions</p> <p>Must be able to work and access all locations of the plant and grounds. Some travel and work outside of normal business hours. While working in certain areas of the plant, there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment, including extreme temperatures and conditions.
