<p>Part Time</p> <p>Grace Farms, 365 Lukes Wood Rd. New Canaan, CT</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Wash, cut, prepare, and cook food, including items such as poultry, meats, vegetables, pizzas, salads, sauces, etc. at stations including but not limited to the grill, pizza oven, salad station. </li><li>Learn the menu to provide accurate, timely service. </li><li>Ability to multi-task and take direction from Lead Line Cook and Chef de Cuisine & Commons Manager </li><li>Verify that prepared food meets requirements for safety, quality, and quantity standards. </li><li>Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases. </li><li>Contribute to a team-oriented culture of mutual respect and support for each other. </li><li>Cleans kitchen, storage and workspace area as part of a culinary team committed to promoting and providing a safe and clean kitchen and service environment in keeping with Grace Farms sanitation and cleanliness standards. </li><li>May work special catering events on site, as needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum High School Degree or equivalent. Culinary Degree preferred. </li><li>Proven experience as a Line Cook. </li><li>ServSafe certification is a plus </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively with all team members and other colleagues at Grace Farms. </li><li>Bi-lingual communication skills a plus. </li><li>This position will work on site in New Canaan. Must have flexible schedule, as well as the willingness and ability to work nights and weekends as needed. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, climb stairs, and stand for an extended period of time. </li><li>Be able to handle hot and cold conditions during food preparation and cooking. </li></ul> <p>Compensation range: $23 per hour</p> <p>MUST have reliable transportation as we are NOT near public transportation.</p> <p>About Grace Farms</p> <p>Grace Farms is a center for culture and collaboration in New Canaan, Connecticut.
